Music: diverse tunes from the 1950s

The solo piece Zwischenzeiten [In-Between-Times] was commissioned by Scottish Dance Theatre’s Creative Learning for Dundee Dance Trail 2013. In this playful and humorous piece, a somehow indefinite and unworldly being finds itself transported into the 1950s (which provided the festival’s theme). There it is transformed, through dance and music, into a glamorous lady of that epoch. As a miniature time-travel epic, the piece captures the spirit of that time in virtuosic and expansive sequences, but also allows their specific quirks to shine through in curiously alien and broken movements.
Lou begann im Alter von 5 Jahren in ihrer Heimatstadt zu tanzen. Im Jahr 2012 schloss sie sich dem Ballet Junior de Genève an, wo sie Werke von renommierten Choreografen wie Andonis Foniadakis oder Hofesh Schechter tanzte. 2016 schloss sie sich dem Kamea Dance Cie in Israel an, wo sie unter anderem Werke des Regisseurs Tamir Ginz, aber auch von Nacho Duato und Marco Goecke tanzte. Seit 2020 ist sie als Gasttänzerin am Grand Théâtre de Genève engagiert und arbeitet seitdem als freischaffende Tänzerin.
