New Creations and Collaborations for the 2027 Season

Last week marked the beginning of the upcoming season through a series of press conferences, offering the first glimpses into several exciting projects on the horizon.

Elisabeth Schilling will create a new work for Ballet Trier, premiering in early June 2026 as part of a triple-bill evening centred around the theme MOMENTUM in Trier. The work is currently at the very beginning of its artistic development, opening an exciting new creative journey. Following its premiere in Trier, the production will also travel to Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg and Théâtre d’Esch.

Alongside this new creation, Elisabeth Schilling will accompany two projects artistically at her long-standing partner institution, Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg.

Opening the season at the end of September, LUXEMBOURG ALL IN, conceived by Schorsch Kamerun at Grand Théâtre, is a large-scale participatory music-theatre project exploring one of the defining questions of our time:

How can togetherness become a strategy?

Bringing together artists, citizens and a multiplicity of voices, the project transforms the foyer into an open, vibrant and immersive space for encounter, exchange and reflection.

On 5 December 2026, Jam des Chorégraphes returns — a playful and dynamic format inspired by the spirit of musical jam sessions. Four Luxembourg-based choreographers — Djamila PoloGeorges Maikel Pires MonteiroMaya Balam Meyong and Gianfranco Celestino — will take on the challenge of creating a solo in less than 24 hours, working from a shared text revealed only the day before.

And there are still a few more projects quietly waiting in the wings — with further announcements to follow as the season unfolds.
